Tried bourbon because I couldn’t get on with whisky until I visited Toronto and thought I would try Wisers Deluxe and I’m glad I did.Move over Jack there’s a new no.1

As a practicing Jew, I go off all grains annually for Passover, and give up my scotch whiskey drinking for 8 days. Wisers 18, as pure corn allows me a marvelous dram for the course of the holiday. Takes VERY little water, smooth and tasty although not as complex as a scotch-style whiskey.

This was my favourite pour of the night at Winnipeg’s Whiskeyfest this year, which included some significantly more expensive stuff. I ended up buying two bottles when it was released at the Manitoba Liquormart a couple of weeks later, and it’s every bit as good as I remembered. Definitely worth it.

Started with crown royal, hated it. Bartender poured me one of these. Sold. I will only drink wisers deluxe.

Wish the apple flavour was available in a 60 or 1.5L

It has great flavour I enjoy it with Canadain dry Ginger ale

I initially tried Crowns version of the Vanilla and didn’t really care for it.

This was on sale so I gave it a try. OMG it’s so much better.. Straight up over ice is all it needs.

Wiser’s Deluxe is how Canadian whisky should taste. I’m drinking it for the first time now, and it will become my go-to brand.

Here’s how I drink it. Which version I choose depends on my mood.

Strong version: 2 parts soft water, 1 part Wiser’s.

Regular version: 3 parts soft water, 1 part Wiser’s.

Hands down my favourite sip, on the rocks or with a splash of water. Always enjoyable and absolutely delicious.
